Tim Chapa was unanimously appointed to the position of City Manager by the Sanger City Council on December 17, 2015, beginning his duties on January 21, 2016. As the Chief Executive Officer of the City, he is responsible for the City’s budget and over 100 employees. Prior to his appointment as Sanger City Manager, he was the City’s Deputy Public Works Director from 2002 to 2006 and the Community Development Director from 2006 to 2009.
Mr. Chapa attended Sanger schools, including Jackson Elementary, Washington Junior High and Sanger High School where he graduated as a Class Valedictorian. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University and his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Santa Clara University.
Mr. Chapa is a member of Sanger Rotary and is also a referee official with the Sanger Youth Soccer League.
